CoreMind : Our Approach

Why CoreMind?

In creating CoreMind, we focused extensively on value. We built it into everything we do, from the systems we build to the way we help our clients. Our experience working for or as consultants for small and medium businesses has taught us what's important and what's not. We've used this experience to determine how to price our services, where to automate and where to do things manually, how to structure the administration of our organisation and what level of support to offer.

Market Position
CoreMind is ideally suited to small or medium businesses that are looking to grow quickly, or are experiencing significant pain with their current IT systems. CoreMind has a strong systems focus. When we provide support, we look beyond the specific problem to the things that could be done (either technology, people or processes) to decrease the likelihood of such problems recurring.

Independent Advice
We only provide support where our skills, education and experience tell us the solution would be of net benefit to your business. We're happy to leave the decision to you, but we'll call it like it is. Rest assured that if we recommend something, we believe it is of net value to your business.

Price Certainty
Our service model is based around providing a known service for a known price. We don't do this by applying huge risk margins. Rather, we carefully select and design the products & services we offer to our clients, and the way in which we offer them. If nothing exists in the marketplace, we will build it. We standardise on solutions we can support well. Where possible we standardise on solutions we can support well across our client base to minimize expected costs and increase business benefits.

Unique Solutions
Of course, where our common solutions are not appropriate, we will quote on a unique solution for your business - either as a fixed fee project, where we work to eliminate as many risks as possible before quoting or commencing, or on an hourly or daily basis.

Professional Integrity
Where such a system is not our core competence, rather than pretend it is, we will advise you how best to achieve your vision. This usually involves engaging CoreMind as consultants and Project Managers, but we are equally happy to refer another provider (e.g. a specialist web development company) who may be better-suited to your requirements.

Intelligent Integration
We find most of our clients receive better value through intelligent integration of existing technologies to produce a custom-designed system for their business, but with individual components that are well-researched, well-implemented and well-supported. One way we do this is through applying Open Source software technologies to solve common business problems.

Systemetised Skills & Experience
We do this by ensuring all our staff, from our Directors down, have appropriate skills & experience. Most importantly, we make sure all the advice and support we give is backed by CoreMind systems. This means regular training for our staff, knowledge management systems in place to ensure all staff are up to speed not only on how your systems work, but our unique strategic IT plan for your business, and working together to solve problems and share experiences.

Support
CoreMind has support systems in place to help you with your problems or questions in the most convenient and efficient manner. We have a Remote Support capability, help available via phone or e-mail, as well as on-site service.

The right incentive to profit
CoreMind aims to profit through a mutually-beneficial long-term relationship with our clients. We do this by building more value into our pricing structure than our competitors, and developing internal systems to serve you as efficiently as possible. We focus intently on the things of value, so our cost structure is low on the things that don't add value to our clients.
