Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Visa or citizenship status allowing you to work in Australia
- Outstanding communication skills in native-level English
- Excellent Windows troubleshooting skills (security, networking, applications)
- Well-developed small-scale networking skills (ADSL/Cable modems & routers, switches)
- Self-motivated and showing initiative
- Ability to get to the crux of a problem quickly yet still solve problems "the right way"
- Ability to work both individually and in a team
Desirable:
- Domain knowledge of small business IT solutions (hardware, software, configuration)
- Linux administration experience
- Technical Report-writing skills
- Programming skills (RubyOnRails a big plus) and SDLC skills (requirements, design, testing etc.)
- Mac OS X client skills
Bonus:
- Windows Server administration skills
- Web Design skills
Job Description:
CoreMind is a young and growing company currently with 7 staff. We are looking to expand our support coverage and engineering capability with an IT all-rounder who's looking to both get their hands dirty with technical systems, but also have meaningful communication with clients.
You'll be doing a bit of everything, but mostly learning a whole pile about IT done right. We're a highly technical company, but we have an unusually strong focus on business outcomes. You'll ideally be splitting your time between installing, supporting and developing awesome systems from both Infrastructure and Development perspectives.
Conditions:
This is a part-time role with flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. A vehicle and license would be useful, but not essential. After-hours availability a big plus. This role is primarily aimed at Uni students looking for an awesome job whilst they finish off their degrees!
