CoreMind : Services

Service Philosophy

Ultimately, we strive to provide a service that makes our clients happy. We achieve this through many aspects of our business, including:

  • Managing expectations through continual communication
  • Working proactively to prevent problems, rather than merely reacting to them
  • Working with our clients to ensure IT systems achieve business outcomes
  • Completely managing and taking responsibility for IT Infrastructure
  • Providing long-term systems stability
  • Being flexible in our service model as your business changes
  • Providing cost certainty through a convenient (and fixed) monthly fee
  • Providing a Service Level Agreement that incentivises us to proactively maintain your systems
  • De-Risking your business through implementing Disaster Recovery Plans

Service Areas

CoreMind has extensive experience in many areas of IT. We focus our core capabilities on Networks, Servers, PCs (Desktops and Laptops), System Architecture and Project Management. We interact with a wide range of partners to deliver complementary services such as Business Consulting, Website Development and Training. We recognise our clients' time is valuable, and seek to be the single point of contact for all IT-related decisions. Where we can add value over and above the market, we offer solutions in house. Where other providers are better equipped to meet your needs (e.g. through specialisation) we will work with them to achie the desired outcome. So we're a one-stop shop, but without the compromise that comes from being Jack of All Trades and Master of None.

System Architecture

The first step to successfully implementing any technology change is to understand the systemic impact of such a change. We start by developing a long-term IT Strategy, part of which involves linking the IT Infrastructure Requirements with other IT Systems and business objectives. We can craft the optimal System Architecture (configuration of resources) to provide your business with the flexibility, manageability and features it needs now and in the future.

Networks

CoreMind can build, maintain and support any type of network our target client (up to 50 computers) is likely to encounter. We have experience connecting remote workers (road warriors), remote offices and different technologies (wired and wireless). We've worked with ISPs, Businesses, Universities and Schools.

Servers

CoreMind can provide embedded, desktop-class, workstation-class, server-class and multi-server (data centre) architectures, running any modern operating system. Most of our clients end up working with Linux servers, due to their superior price/performance and decreased maintenance requirements. Whether you need a simple office file server or a complex web application hosting environment, we can provide it. Of course, we start with the Architecture phase first, so we've got an end in sight before we get stuck into just building servers that may not be appropriate for your requirements.

PC Management

Often overlooked or relegated to "fix it when it breaks" management, PCs are critical as they are the primary interface most organisations have for productively employing their staff. Small improvements can often make a big difference to employee productivity. What's the cost difference between a 17" and a 24" monitor over 5 years?
