As a technology strategy consultant, David Kellam has built a reputation for working with start-ups, SMEs and non-profit organisations to radically improve the way their business systems work. He thrives on navigating through complex, often unproductive business systems set-ups to arrive at simple, manageable systems and cost-effective business processes to ensure the IT function is supporting the business as much as possible. Through the Kellam Group and CoreMind, David works with organisations including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, professional services firms and startups delivering IT infrastructure, outsourcing solutions, software development and consulting services. “I work as a management consultant and strategist, but with a strong technology twist, which helps me implement and drive tangible improvements, not just talk about them.”
David’s approach to IT strategy and solutions is bespoke. He carefully diagnoses then tailors a unique solution design around agile, smart technology that improve business processes, boosts productivity and is easy to understand. His workflow designs harness the power of platforms such as OntraPort, Zapier, G Suite, Xero, Stripe, WordPress and more to drive business growth and deeper customer engagement (and analysis). He designs additional custom software where required including apps, databases and marketplaces. “I love helping clients devise more efficient ways to do business. I’m passionate about using technology as a tool to improve and transform, not just keep the lights on.”
David has 20 years’ commercial experience in business consulting, technical management, software development and startups. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science, Diploma of Arts (Linguistics) and Master of Business & IT degrees from The University of Melbourne.
