The Alannah and Madeline Foundation has worked with CoreMind for over 5 years. During that time, the Foundation’s staffing has doubled and IT involvement tripled. CoreMind’s approach and technical systems have more than kept up.
When CoreMind commenced, they started with a business audit. This involved a careful analysis of the Foundation’s 5-year plans, discussion with all key business units about their needs and frustrations, and the preparation of a tailored report outlining how to align IT strategy and systems with this vision. This approach was crucial to ensuring that IT kept alignment with business objectives during many substantive changes in the organisation – temporarily adding a second office, changing staffing levels and introducing new programs. If we had treated IT as a basic office service rather than a strategic enabler, this would not have been so smooth.
One of the first improvements CoreMind implemented was a Standard Operating Environment. Within a month of its introduction, IT maintenance and support costs went down 50%, along with reduced downtime and staff disruption. This enabled us to shift the focus of the majority of our IT spend to more lue-adding activities such as improving workflow and providing strategic advice.
More recently, in a project sponsored by Google Australia, CoreMind worked with The Alannah and Madeline Foundation to plan, design, develop and maintain our eSmart Digital License, a $1.2 million project, successfully delivering this project and allowing us to deliver services to thousands of children through our eSmart Digital Licence programme. The versatility of the CoreMind team in being able to consult on, design, implement, manage, support and integrate this program into the rest of our activity has been crucial to its success.
CoreMind is integral to the continued growth and stability of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation.”
